Ebony thought this was a good enough answer and nodded her head. "I used to travel all over also. I settled down near here because there seems to be a big park here. Plenty of trash cans to find food in and also a forest to hide in." She paused and gnawed at her paw to get a bur out.

Holly laid down and started licking her wounded left hind paw, wincing when her tongue made contact with it.

Ebony looked over the furry coat of her companion and her injured hind paw. A thought came to her mind. "I have lately been thinking about... Creating a pack. There is another pack on the very far side of the city to the west, atleast... that is what I've heard. I have only thought of it though because I had no friends to join in this pack. But since you're here..."

Holly had always thought packs were a dumb idea, she liked being a lone dog. She grew up not used to having to depend on other dogs, and having other dogs depend on her. She liked depending on herself. But maybe it would be nice to have somewhere to call home, and not be alone all the time. "I'm used to being a lone dog, but I might join your pack to see what pack life is like."

Ebony's tail wagged slightly, "You are to be one of the first members. You will start out as an omega. Perhaps if you prove yourself useful you may work your way up." Ebony looked over Holly's fur that was messy from the rain. "What is your name?"

Holly looked up. "Holly. And fine, someone's got to do the job of omega. Where are you going to find other dogs?"

Ebony laid her head on her paws deep in thought. "I will ask around the city. I'm sure some of the stray dogs might want to he in the pack." She wondered if this was true.

Holly got up on three paws, staring at the rain still coming down. She wondered when it would stop. "I wonder when the rain will stop, I need to go out to find something to eat."

Scratching the back of her ear with her hindpaw she didn't pay much attention. "I'm sure we can find something if we look pathetic at the trailer park outside of town." She said although secretly she was ravenous.
